REQUIEM FOR A DREAM (FILM)

Requiem for a Dream is a 2000 film adaptation of the 1978 novel of the same name. The novel was written by Hubert Selby, Jr.; the film adaptation was directed by Darren Aronofsky, and starred Ellen Burstyn, Jared Leto, Jennifer Connelly, and Marlon Wayans. Burstyn was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance.

The Plot is this:

The film charts three seasons in the lives of mother and son SarA and Harry Goldfarb, Harry’s girlfriend Marion Silver, and Harry’s friend Tyrone C. Each character is ultimately destroyed by addiction and self-delusion.

The story begins in summer. Sara Goldfarb, an elderly widow living alone in her Brighton Beach apartment, spends her time watching infomercials on television. After a phone call announces that she will be invited to attend a live taping of a television show, she becomes obsessed with matching her appearance to a photograph from her son Harry's graduation, her proudest moment.

Meanwhile, Harry is an irresponsible heroin addict. Together with his friend Tyrone and his girlfriend Marion, the group enters the drug trade in an attempt to realize their dreams.

With winter comes the final of their lifes. Sara completely crazy becomes hospitalized, where she has to doelectro shock therapy.

Harry is completely dependent of the drugs and he has to be hospitalizated and the doctors have to cut their arm because of the heroin.

Tyron is arrested and put in prison.

And harr's girlfriend has to be a prostitute for gets the money which later she will buy new drugs.



This amazing film gives a perspective of the actual and modern world of the drugs. I recommend you to watch it.

New 1: Amazon desforestation

It`s more than eight months since the Brazilian government announced a number of specifically designed, co-ordinated actions aimed at slowing down the destruction of forests by people.

This package of measures is to combat this kind of deforestation. The Brazilian government says that the amazon zone is the more important vegetable, and natural zone around of the world and for this reason they will make lots of laws penalizing the illegal deforestation. The Brazilian government tries to set up efforts, to form a group of people who will work to achieve a common goal.

The Czech Republic sent a highly-rated France squad crashing out of the Davis Cup in the World Group first round with victory in Ostrava.
Radek Stepanek saw off Gilles Simon 7-6 (7-2) 6-3 7-6 (7-0) on Sunday to give the Czechs an unassailable 3-1 lead.
The team had drawn comparisons with the 'Musketeers' of Henri Cochet, Rene Lacoste, Jean Borotra and Jacques Brugnon, who won every Davis Cup between 1927 and 1932.

Looking in the net I read a new that in this time unfortunately is really common.

This news article speaks about a man that mistreats his wife, and after the judge ordered him to stay away from her, but finally the man goes to his house and has an argument with his wife and kills her.


This kind of behaviour violates the human rights because nowbody has the right to ill treat other or kill anybody. The murder is penalizing for the law of every different country. And murder violates the list of the human rights.
This kind of assassinates (the husband or boyfriend kills his lover) I think that the law must be harsher.

The computer is a work machine wich was invented last century. It's evolution was fast as same as the technology of the fist world.


The computer have made the world a better place for differents reasons, the most importants are for the people who need get the work quickly, so computer do the work fast. It's importan emphatized that with the computer we can do lots of things that wasn't possible 20 years ago. For exemple we can send a letter in 1 second! Internet have a lot of advantages, with it you can search all the information that you need, you can send your work at the same time that you have it finish, and you can meet and speak with people arround the world. The computers favorized the globalization of our world. But there is bad points of view too. You should operate consequently with this machine, you can depend all of your time on it. We can say that computer can be addictive and in internet you can find lots of rubbish material...


In my opinion with the computer have made the world a better place but also have bad thing that can improve it.

Life in XIX century!

I did the oral with two good friends of the english class: Iñaki and Bernat.
We talks about the society, the food, the technology, the housing, and the clothing of the XIX century. But first we did an introduccion of our-selves.
We justified all of this parts in the society of XIX century with the film Pride and Prejudice that's show us an espectacular point of view of this period.

We wanted that the oral wasn't monothonus and for this reason we put a finally video of a fight between Peter Griffin and the chicken. We thought that maybe could disincrease our nerviosism.

Is humoru necessary to survive?

From my point of view, without humor we can't survive. Why? It's so easy, because the "humor" is the easiest form to solve our problems. If in your life the humor, the irony, and the laugh aren’t present in our life this will become grey, sad, and pessimist.

Humor is a method of create welfare, well-being. The humor makes you happy. Is a therapy too, if you laugh your body dispose of the stress and the bad-feelings of your mind. You can enjoy better your typical life
The people perhaps think that the humour isn't necessary but you can organize your life without humor, it's an unimaginable type of life.
